It was 6:30 in the morning when Teacher J. Adenilson and me went with of primary school’s students from Joao Henrique and Instituto Municipal Joao Cândido Filho for a expedition to Furna dos Carboclos (Indigenous’ cave) located around 14 kilometres away the downtown. We went by bus and when arrived in Lagedo’s ranch we hiked for more 4 kilometres until the ancient Indigenous rock art paintings.
There J. Adenilson a Geography teacher explained for the rock forming and the effects of the greenhouse and global warming in the ecosystem, the biome Caatinga (in Indigenous language means White Brush), after that, the Regional tour guide explained about the Archaeology ancient paintings, according to Archaeologists they have around 6.000 B.P (Before Present).
Carlos, the regional guide with J. Adenilson and Jailma (Agronomist) they are going to create a NGO (Non-Profit Organization), the main purpose of this expeditions is to preserve the biome Caatinga and to provide for students a visit to the Archaeological sites. Next we collect seeds of native plants from Caatinga's biome to plant in few months. Around 12 am we return home.
