Project Rodon and students of Tourism spot course, beautiful landscape, enchanted castle.

Inspired in the medieval castles from Europe the Architectonic style it seems the Castles from France, actually what inspired Ronilson to build a castle in the middle of Sertão (backwoods)?

When he was a little boy he dreamed to live in a round house shape or a castle, however he really inspired and motivated to construct after he watched a movie called “El Cid, El Campeador.” The movie telling about the Moorish and Christian war, the Scenario took place in Spain. And the main characters of the film, such as Rodrigo, is the oldest son called the name of the protagonist of the movie.

He spent 7 years to construct the castle. He started to built in 1984 and finished in 1991, by the way, he unfinished yet.

In 2006 it was setting of the film “As Pelejas de Ojuara, based in the book of Ney Leandro de Castro. Famous actor, such as Marcos Palmeira, Actress Fernanda Paes Leme and Flávia Alessandra were here.

As a matter fact, Biva’s Castle is a destination for tourists, and public and private Schools from Rio Grande do Norte they came there to visit and interested to hear about its history.

It’s located around 2 kilometres away the downtown, faced to asphalt road 288.

Xique-Xique’s complex:

                                  Climbing towards Xique-xique I
                                  Walkways
                                                Hunting scenes

                                             Sex scene

                                  Dancing scene

Xique-Xique is an area that comprises a great number of Rock Art paintings the most relevant is the Xique-Xique I. It presents daily scenes such as: Hunting, fighting, dancing, and sexing ones. The Indigenous inscriptions belongs to period of Pleistocene to Holocene where the climatic era, fauna and flora were completely different according to archaeologists experts. It’s considering for specialists one of the most relevant in the Northeast Tradition, Serido Sub-tradition (name given to Indigenous peoples who settled down the Serido region. And the rock art painting from Serido, are similar to the rock art paintings in São Raimundo Nonato, in Piauí State, according to Anne Merrie Pessis the group travelled from Piaui towards Serido region for about 9.000 years B.P (Before Present).

In conclusion the Xique-Xique I is located 5 kilometres from the downtown, and it’s closed for visitors due the IPHAN is constructing a Walkways structure in order to give support to the tourist and of course developing the sustainable tourism in Serido Region.

Congratulations Carlinhos! I enjoy your blog! Once I liked to talk and write in English, but now I don’t practice and I have difficult to talk or to write a simple sentence…. It’s difficult to think you learned a foreign language himself, it’s incredible, I needed three years of English classes to learn, and now I can’t talk fluently… I’d like you add me in messenger… my e-mail address is marcelaps_15@hotmail.com.
A big hug!!!

Actually I've been dedicated and I'm not sit back while I'm going to be an interpreter, a long way ahead, I don't care, just practise, no more than this, I need to be fluent, because sometimes I keep in touch with foreign people. Actually I spent over 20 years in order to understand, I used to listen to the Short Waves of the radio, to be more specific from BBC. Since then,I became fluent when I started to guide people, after I took a local guide course, during the period I guided people every week, that's why I got fluency, otherwise if you don't practise, it's like someone who started to learn to ride a bike, if you stopping, for sure, you're getting in trouble, however everything is store on your brain, just do it, no worries about mistakes, they take part of the knowledge, practise makes perfect, the more you do that, more you learn. Thank you for enjoying my blog, just promote it for friends. As well as, I'll recommend some useful websites and blogs in English. Let's keep in touch. I wish a wonderful weekend. Best wishes, friend, visit as much as possible, go ahead.
