Besides being a great TV presenter, Rodrigo Faro is also a talented actor, singer and dancer

The Record channel is so pleased [1] with the work done by Rodrigo Faro that it has renewed his contract until 2017.  Faro heads up [2] a Saturday show called “O Melhor do Brasil” and also appears on Programa Ídolos (on Tuesday and Thursday nights). In 2010 Silvio Santos presented him with the Press Trophy [3] in the “Best TV Presenter” category. But that is just one of Faro’s talents. As an authentic Broadway artist, Rodrigo can be thought of as a complete entertainer: he is an actor, singer, TV presenter and dancer. On the show “O Melhor do Brasil” there is a section called “Vai Dar Namoro” which matches up young single people looking for love. Whenever participants kiss on the show, Faro dances on the stage, imitating well-known stars.

Precocious talent

Rodrigo Faro was born in São Paulo on October 20^th 1973 and began his TV career in 1982, appearing in several commercials. When he was a teenager he was a presenter on the kids show ZYB Bom. In 1992 Faro was invited to replace [4] one of the singers in the group, Dominó. In 1997 he began his career as an actor on the Globo TV channel, appearing in several soap operas and miniseries. In 2000 Rodrigo released his first and, so far, only album as a singer. In 2008 he left Globo to work at the Record channel. Faro is married to former [5] model Vera Viel, and the couple have two small children, Clara and Maria.
